Registered Nurse Oncology MedSurg

Ascension is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Oncology MedSurg unit. In this role, you'll deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to adult oncology and medical-surgical patients, managing complex treatments, chemotherapy coordination, symptom management, and post-surgical recovery. You'll collaborate within an interdisciplinary team, support patient and family education, and uphold quality and safety standards. Responsibilities

• Provide direct oncology and Med
• Surg nursing care to adult patients, including complex assessments and interventions
• Administer medications, including IV therapies and chemotherapy per policy and safety standards
• Develop, update, and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Monitor patient status, respond to changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, symptom management, and discharge instructions
• Document care accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and maintain regulatory compliance
• Promote infection prevention, safety, and quality improvement initiatives on the unit
• Precept and mentor new staff or students and participate in ongoing professional development
