Registered Nurse Clinical Lead Specialty Med Surg

Ascension is seeking a Registered Nurse Clinical Lead for our Specialty Med Surg unit. In this role, you'll provide direct patient care while coordinating clinical operations, assignments, and workflows for your team. You will mentor and precept nurses, promote evidence-based practice, and support quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives. Responsibilities

• Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to specialty Med Surg patients
• Serve as charge nurse, overseeing daily unit workflow and staffing assignments
• Mentor, coach, and precept nursing staff to support clinical competence and growth
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and communicate effectively with providers and families
• Monitor and support adherence to quality, safety, and infection-control standards
• Assist with orientation and ongoing education of unit staff
• Use EHR systems accurately for assessments, care plans, and documentation
• Participate in performance improvement and patient experience initiatives
• Support implementation of new clinical protocols and best practices
• Foster a compassionate, inclusive, and patient-centered team culture
