Registered Nurse PACU

Ascension is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for our PACU team. In this role, you will provide post-anesthesia care, closely monitoring patients as they recover from surgery, managing pain, and responding rapidly to changes in condition. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, evidence-based care. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive post-anesthesia care and monitoring in the PACUContinuously assess vital signs, pain levels, and recovery status, intervening promptly as needed
• Administer IV medications, fluids, and pain management therapies per provider orders
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and care teams to coordinate safe transitions of care
• Educate patients and families on post-operative expectations and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards in all aspects of care
• Participate in ongoing education, skills development, and quality improvement initiatives
