CORA Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team in an outpatient rehabilitation setting. In this role, you will implement treatment plans under the direction of a Physical Therapist, provide hands-on patient care, document progress, and support patients in restoring function, mobility, and independence. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a patient-first, community-minded environment that values respect, teamwork, and clinical excellence. Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment plans under supervision of a Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting
  • Instruct patients in therapeutic exercises, functional training, and use of assistive devices
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient progress and response to treatment
  • Assist with manual therapy techniques and modalities as delegated by the PTEducate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention
  • Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate care
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
  • Support clinic operations, scheduling needs, and equipment cleanliness/safety
  • Uphold evidence-based practice standards and CORA clinical protocols
  • Participate in continuing education, mentorship, and quality improvement activities

Required Skills

  • Therapeutic exercise prescription and progression
  • Outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation
  • Neuromuscular re-education
  • Manual therapy and soft tissue techniques (under PT direction)
  • Use of physical agents and modalities (e.g., e-stim, ultrasound, heat/cold)
  • Gait training and balance/fall-prevention interventions
  • Patient and family education on home exercise programs
  • Clinical documentation in EMR systems
  • Pain management strategies within scope of PTA practice
  • Knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, and biomechanics
