Driver Class A Regional

Ryder System is hiring a dependable Class A Regional Driver to support our dedicated transportation and logistics operations. In this role, you will safely operate Class A tractors and trailers on regional routes, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery of freight for major customers. Responsibilities include performing pre/post-trip inspections, following DOT and Ryder safety standards, maintaining accurate logs and paperwork, and providing professional, customer-focused service at each stop. You'll work closely with dispatch and operations, using modern fleet technology while benefiting from Ryder's safety-first, team-oriented culture and opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A tractors and trailers on regional routes to complete scheduled pickups and deliveries
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and Ryder standards
• Follow all safety procedures, traffic laws, and company policies to maintain a strong safety record
• Use electronic logging devices (ELD) and maintain accurate logs, manifests, and delivery paperwork
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations to manage schedules, delays, and route changes
• Secure freight properly to prevent damage and ensure load safety during transit
• Provide professional, customer-focused service at shipping and receiving locations
• Report equipment issues promptly and coordinate with maintenance for timely repairs
• Adhere to regional route plans while managing time to meet on-time performance goals
• Participate in company safety meetings and ongoing training to support continuous improvement
