Class A Extra Board Truck Driver

Ryder System is seeking a Class A Extra Board Truck Driver to support dedicated transportation and distribution across North America. In this role, you'll operate late-model tractors, safely haul freight to multiple customer locations, and adapt to varying routes and schedules. Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, accurate logkeeping, on-time delivery, and professional customer interactions. Responsibilities

• Operate Class A tractor-trailers on assigned and extra-board routes
• Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections and complete DVIRs
• Maintain accurate ELD logs and comply with all DOT/FMCSA regulations
• Secure and handle freight safely to prevent damage and loss
• Deliver loads on time while adapting to changing routes and schedules
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and yard staff
• Follow Ryder safety procedures and participate in required trainings
• Report vehicle issues and coordinate basic maintenance needs
• Handle paperwork, BOLs, and delivery documentation accurately
• Support Ryder's customer-focused culture and represent the brand on the road
