Driver Class A Regional

Ryder System seeks a Class A Regional Driver to support our leading logistics and transportation network. In this home-weekly role, you'll safely operate Class A equipment on regional routes, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery of freight for key customers. Responsibilities include conducting pre/post-trip inspections, adhering to DOT and Ryder safety standards, securing loads, and completing accurate logs and documentation. You'll work closely with dispatch and warehouse teams, represent Ryder with professionalism, and contribute to a safety-first, customer-focused culture with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A tractor-trailers on assigned regional routes while maintaining a strong safety record.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and Ryder standards.
• Ensure accurate, timely pickup and delivery of freight while protecting cargo integrity.
• Maintain compliant Hours-of-Service and trip documentation using ELD and required logs.
• Follow all DOT, company, and customer-specific safety and operating procedures.
• Secure loads properly using appropriate equipment and verify weight and balance.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers regarding schedules and issues.
• Report equipment issues promptly and coordinate with maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Represent Ryder professionally at customer sites and on the road.
• Contribute to a safety-first, customer-focused culture and support continuous improvement efforts.
