Family Support Services Specialist

Lutheran Services Florida seeks a Family Support Services Specialist to strengthen and stabilize vulnerable families. In this role, you will assess family needs, develop service plans, and connect clients to resources in child welfare, behavioral health, education, and refugee support. You will provide case management, home visits, crisis intervention, and advocacy while documenting services and outcomes. Working in a collaborative, mission-driven team, you'll partner with community providers and culturally diverse families to promote safety, well-being, and long-term stability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive family assessments and develop individualized service plans
• Provide ongoing case management, home visits, and follow-up support
• Coordinate referrals to community, behavioral health, and educational resources
• Deliver crisis intervention and safety planning as needed
• Advocate for families with schools, courts, and service providers
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in agency systems
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community partners
• Monitor progress toward family goals and adjust plans as needed
• Ensure services are culturally responsive and trauma-informed
• Adhere to agency, ethical, and regulatory standards and confidentiality
