Container/Chassis Mechanic

ConGlobal is seeking a Container/Chassis Mechanic to inspect, maintain, and repair intermodal containers and chassis supporting rail, ocean, and trucking operations. In this field-based role, you'll perform diagnostics, welding, structural and mechanical repairs, brake and suspension work, and preventive maintenance to keep equipment safe and roadworthy. You'll work in a fast-paced terminal environment focused on safety, reliability, and teamwork, using modern tools and processes. Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose container and chassis defects, damage, and safety issues
• Perform mechanical, structural, and cosmetic repairs on intermodal containers and chassis
• Service brake, suspension, lighting, and running gear systems to meet DOT and company standards
• Conduct preventive maintenance and document all work in maintenance systems
• Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication on steel components as needed
• Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively
• Follow all safety, OSHA, and terminal procedures in a fast-paced yard environment
• Collaborate with operations and dispatch to prioritize repairs and minimize equipment downtime
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and care for tools and shop equipment
• Support continuous improvement, training, and standard work practices across locations
