Forklift Operator

CHEP is seeking a reliable Forklift Operator for 3rd shift at our transportation and warehousing facility. In this role, you will safely operate sit-down forklifts to move, load, and unload pallets, crates, and containers in a fast-paced distribution environment. You will inspect equipment, follow all safety and quality procedures, and accurately record pallet movements in inventory systems. The position supports CHEP's circular, share-and-reuse model by ensuring efficient material flow and on-time shipments. You'll work collaboratively with shift leads and teammates, with opportunities to grow in logistics and operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload pallets, crates, and containers
• Follow all plant, safety, and OSHA regulations during material handling
• Inspect forklifts and report or record maintenance needs
• Maintain accurate counts and record pallet movements in inventory systems
• Support efficient loading for inbound and outbound shipments
• Keep work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
• Coordinate with shift leads and warehouse staff to meet production targets
• Perform basic quality checks on pallets and materials handled
