Lilly is seeking an Industrial Electrician specializing in medium voltage, instrumentation, and utilities to support our Indianapolis biopharmaceutical manufacturing site. In this role, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot medium-voltage distribution, process instrumentation, and critical utility systems that power GMP production. You will perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and root-cause analysis while working closely with engineering and operations. In our collaborative, safety-focused culture, you'll help ensure reliable, compliant operations that directly impact patient health and global access to medicines.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot medium-voltage electrical distribution systems and equipment in a biotech manufacturing environment.
  • Perform instrumentation calibration, loop checks, and troubleshooting for process controls, sensors, and analyzers to support reliable production.
  • Maintain and repair utilities systems (power, steam, water, air) ensuring safe, continuous operation of pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, schematics, and control diagrams to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation assets in accordance with GMP and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to support equipment upgrades, commissioning, and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA, NEC, OSHA, and Lilly safety policies, documenting work in CMMS and maintaining accurate maintenance records.
  • Support root-cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve reliability.
  • Assist in startup, shutdown, and changeover activities for production lines, ensuring electrical and instrumentation readiness.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies to minimize downtime and protect product quality and patient safety.
