Retail Rock Climbing Lead

House of Sport, an experiential concept by DICK'S Sporting Goods, is seeking a Retail Rock Climbing Lead to oversee our in-store climbing wall and deliver unforgettable experiences. You'll lead daily operations, ensure strict safety standards, and provide hands-on coaching for climbers of all ages and abilities. Partner with store leadership to drive traffic, events, and revenue through clinics, leagues, and community programs. You'll train and mentor teammates, manage equipment and inspections, and create an inclusive, energized environment where guests can learn, play, and connect through climbing.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the in-store rock climbing wall and experience area.
• Ensure strict adherence to climbing safety protocols, inspections, and incident procedures.
• Provide coaching and belay support for climbers of all ages and skill levels.
• Train, mentor, and schedule team members supporting the climbing area.
• Deliver outstanding, hands-on customer service that reflects House of Sport culture.
• Plan and facilitate climbing events, clinics, leagues, and community programs.
• Collaborate with store leadership to drive participation, traffic, and sales.
• Maintain and inspect climbing gear, routes, and equipment for safety and quality.
• Support retail floor needs, including customer assistance and POS as needed.
• Promote an inclusive, energetic environment that welcomes all athletes and families.
