Cashier
Zaxby's is seeking friendly, reliable Cashiers to deliver fast, accurate service in our guest-focused restaurants. In this role, you'll greet guests with genuine Southern hospitality, take and ring up orders, and handle cash and electronic payments using our POS system. You'll assist with food and beverage preparation, assemble orders, and help keep the lobby, drink station, and front counter clean and stocked. Cashiers follow strict food safety and sanitation standards, support drive-thru operations, and work closely with team members to ensure an enjoyable dining experience. This position offers opportunities to build customer service, restaurant operations, and leadership skills, with clear paths for advancement into trainer and management roles as Zaxby's continues to grow.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly, positive attitude and uphold Zaxby's hospitality standards
- Accurately take dine-in and drive-thru orders using the POS system
- Handle cash, credit, and mobile payments; provide accurate change and receipts
- Assist with basic food and beverage preparation and order assembly
- Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized front counter, lobby, and drink station
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and handwashing procedures at all times
- Coordinate with kitchen and drive-thru team members to ensure fast, accurate service
- Respond to guest questions, concerns, and special requests professionally
- Support opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking supplies
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and appearance standards
