Career Counselor

Career Systems Development Corporation (CSD) is seeking a passionate and skilled Career Counselor to join our team. This role is instrumental in shaping the futures of young adults by guiding them through career planning and educational pathways. As an integral member of our organization, you will leverage your expertise in counseling to help students within our residential education and job training programs across various Job Corps centers. By assisting students in discovering their career aspirations and the educational steps required to achieve them, you will make a tangible impact on their futures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions to establish educational and career goals based on each student's strengths and interests.
• Develop tailored career plans that align with both job market demands and individual aspirations.
• Facilitate workshops and seminars to educate students on career readiness, resume building, and job search strategies.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate career counseling with academic and vocational training.
• Monitor and evaluate the progression of students and adjust career plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Engage with industry professionals to stay informed on current job market trends and opportunities that can be relayed to students.
