Counseling Manager

The Counseling Manager at Career Systems Development Corporation leads a team providing counseling and guidance services to young adults in a Job Corps training environment. In this Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm role, you will oversee intake, assess student needs, and develop individualized counseling and career plans that support academic, vocational, and personal success. You will coordinate referrals to internal and community resources, track outcomes and documentation, and work closely with instructional, residential, and career services staff to maintain a safe, inclusive, and student-centered campus climate aligned with CSD's mission.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage counseling services for Job Corps students
• Conduct intake, assessments, and develop individualized counseling plans
• Provide individual and group counseling focused on academic, career, and personal goals
• Coordinate referrals to internal resources and community agencies
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate, confidential records
• Collaborate with instructional, residential, and career services staff
• Support behavior management and crisis intervention as needed
• Use data to track outcomes and support continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with program, contractual, and regulatory standards
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and student-centered environment
