Auto Technician

High Street Auto Repair is seeking an A/B Auto Technician to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on cars and light trucks in our small, hands-on shop. You'll handle brake work, oil changes, engine and electrical diagnostics, suspension repairs, and general mechanical services using modern scan tools and equipment. Working closely with a tight-knit team, you'll troubleshoot issues, document repairs, and help deliver honest, high-quality service to our local customers. This role is ideal for a reliable tech who takes pride in solid workmanship and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues on cars and light trucks
• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, fluid services, brakes, and tires
• Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment to identify faults and recommend repairs
• Document findings, parts used, and work performed on repair orders
• Communicate clearly with service staff and, when needed, customers about needed work and options
• Follow shop safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Test-drive vehicles to verify concerns and confirm successful repairs
• Assist teammates with complex diagnostics and repairs as needed
