Pre-Kindergarten Teacher

Chesterbrook Academy seeks a caring, organized Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to create an engaging, developmentally appropriate classroom for 4-5-year-olds. In this role, you will plan and deliver academically rich lessons that blend structured learning with play, support social-emotional growth, and maintain a safe, inclusive environment. You will assess student progress, communicate regularly with families, and collaborate closely with fellow teachers and staff. Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate pre-kindergarten curriculum blending play and structured learning
• Create a safe, nurturing, inclusive classroom environment for 4-5-year-olds
• Support children's social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Assess and document student progress using observations and basic assessments
• Communicate regularly with families about student growth and classroom activities
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to align curriculum and share best practices
• Implement classroom management strategies that promote positive behavior
• Maintain classroom safety, cleanliness, and adherence to school policies
• Participate in professional development and training opportunities
• Contribute to school events and family engagement activities
