Beer Merchandiser

TJ Sheehan Distributing, a family-owned beer and beverage distributor serving Central and Upstate New York, is seeking a Beer Merchandiser for the Ithaca area. In this field-based role, you will visit local supermarkets, convenience stores, and other retailers to stock and rotate beer products, build attractive displays, and ensure shelves and coolers are well organized and fully merchandised. You'll work closely with store staff and our sales team to maintain inventory, support promotions, and represent our portfolio of major and craft brands with reliable, customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Visit assigned Ithaca-area retail accounts to merchandise TJ Sheehan brands
• Stock shelves, coolers, and back rooms; ensure proper rotation and code-date accuracy
• Build and maintain attractive displays and point-of-sale materials
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate out-of-stocks or opportunities to sales team
• Maintain clean, orderly product sets that meet supplier and retailer standards
• Develop strong relationships with store personnel and act as a brand ambassador
• Follow all safety guidelines, including proper lifting and handling of product
• Plan efficient daily routes and manage time to complete all scheduled stops
