Truck Driver CDL Class A

Ryder System is seeking a safety-focused Truck Driver CDL Class A to support our transportation and warehousing operations. In this role, you will operate late-model tractors to transport freight between customer sites and Ryder facilities, performing thorough pre- and post-trip inspections and following all DOT and Ryder safety standards. You'll manage ELD logs, secure loads, and assist with loading/unloading as needed. Working closely with dispatch, you'll maintain on-time deliveries, communicate route updates, and deliver professional, customer-focused service across North America.

Responsibilities

• Operate CDL Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight safely and on time
• Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections and document findings
• Comply with all DOT, FMCSA, and Ryder safety policies and procedures
• Accurately complete logs, ELD entries, and delivery documentation
• Secure loads and assist with loading/unloading as required
• Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, delays, and delivery status
• Report vehicle defects and coordinate maintenance needs promptly
• Provide professional, customer-focused service at delivery locations
