Capitol Building Supply, Inc. - Baltimore seeks a safety-focused CDL Driver to deliver drywall, steel framing, insulation, and related materials to commercial and residential job sites across the Maryland region. In this full-time, field-based role, you will operate CDL trucks, conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensure all DOT and company safety standards are met. Responsibilities include loading and unloading materials using forklifts and other equipment, verifying orders and delivery tickets, and maintaining clean, well-organized vehicles. You will work closely with dispatch, warehouse teams, and contractors, providing professional, reliable customer service and supporting a strong culture of safety, teamwork, and long-term relationships. This position offers hands-on experience in construction supply logistics, exposure to commercial projects, and opportunities to build a stable career in a well-established distribution environment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate CDL trucks to deliver construction materials to commercial and residential job sites across the Maryland region.
  • Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections and comply with all DOT and company safety standards.
  • Load and unload drywall, steel, insulation, and related products using forklifts, boom equipment, and manual handling.
  • Verify orders, delivery tickets, and material counts to ensure accuracy and prevent damage or loss.
  • Maintain clean, organized vehicles and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
  • Communicate professionally with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries.
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules while adapting to job-site conditions and restrictions.
  • Represent Capitol Building Supply, Inc. with professional, safety-focused customer service at all times.

Required Skills
