Preschool Teacher

Merryhill School seeks a caring Preschool Teacher for our Pre-K classroom. In this full-time, on-site role, you will design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that build early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills. You will create a safe, nurturing environment, closely supervise students, and foster positive behavior and independence. Responsibilities include observing and assessing progress, maintaining documentation, and communicating regularly with families. You will collaborate with a close-knit team, access strong curriculum resources, and benefit from ongoing professional development and the support of a larger education network.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate Pre-K lessons aligned with school curriculum
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Observe and assess student progress and document learning
• Communicate regularly with families about student growth and classroom activities
• Collaborate with colleagues and leadership on school initiatives
• Maintain classroom routines, behavior expectations, and safety standards
• Prepare instructional materials and organize learning centers
• Participate in professional development and staff meetings
