CDL Driver

Drywall Supply, Inc. - Omaha seeks a reliable CDL Driver to deliver drywall, steel framing, insulation, and related materials to residential and commercial job sites. In this hands-on role, you'll safely operate CDL equipment on local routes, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and load, secure, and unload heavy, awkward building materials using forklifts or similar equipment. You'll interact directly with contractors and builders, verify orders, complete delivery paperwork, and follow strict safety and DOT guidelines, supporting a fast-paced, team-oriented, construction-focused operation.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL truck for local deliveries of drywall, steel framing, insulation, and related materials
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
• Load, secure, and unload materials using appropriate equipment and safe handling practices
• Deliver to residential and commercial job sites, including tight or busy construction areas
• Verify orders against tickets, obtain signatures, and complete delivery paperwork or electronic logs
• Communicate with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate efficient deliveries
• Follow DOT, company safety policies, and PPE requirements at all times
• Provide courteous, professional service to contractors and builders on-site
• Assist in warehouse or yard activities as needed, including staging and organizing loads

Required Skills

• CDL Class A or B driving
• Vehicle inspection and maintenance checks
• Safe loading and securing of drywall and materials
• Operating forklifts or boom/flatbed equipment
• Reading delivery tickets and manifests
• Local route navigation and time management
• Basic DOT/HAZMAT compliance knowledge
• Customer service with contractors/builders
• Using GPS or routing/dispatch systems
