Merryhill School is seeking a Middle School Science and Math Teacher to inspire students through rigorous, hands-on learning in a close-knit, student-centered environment. In this role, you will plan and deliver engaging, standards-based science and math lessons to small classes, using data and assessments to guide instruction and support each child's growth. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based science and math lessons for middle school students.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and support individual student growth.
- Assess student learning through assignments, quizzes, projects, and tests; track and report progress.
- Maintain a safe, well-managed, and inclusive classroom environment that supports positive behavior.
- Communicate regularly with families about student progress, goals, and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues and leadership on curriculum, instructional strategies, and school initiatives.
- Incorporate educational technology and hands-on activities to deepen student understanding.
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school events.
- Support character development and social-emotional learning aligned with school values.
- Uphold school policies, safety procedures, and duty responsibilities (recess, arrival/dismissal, etc.).
