Shop Service Technician

Holt Group is hiring a Shop Service Technician 4 to perform advanced diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on heavy equipment in our on-site shop. You will troubleshoot complex hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues, complete scheduled services, and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards. Using diagnostic tools and technical manuals, you'll accurately document repairs, collaborate with the parts and service teams, and help mentor junior technicians. This role suits an experienced technician ready to take on challenging work and act as a technical resource in the shop.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on heavy equipment in the shop
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections to maximize equipment uptime
• Use diagnostic software, tools, and technical manuals to troubleshoot faults
• Document all work performed, parts used, and inspection results in service records
• Collaborate with parts and service teams to ensure timely repair completion
• Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality standards in the shop
• Mentor and support junior technicians on repair procedures and best practices
• Communicate repair status and technical findings to supervisors and service advisors
