Truck Driver CDL A Floater

Ryder System seeks a reliable Truck Driver CDL A Floater to support our Transportation & Logistics operations. In this full-time role, you'll safely operate CDL A tractor-trailers, covering multiple routes, customers, and schedules as business needs change. Responsibilities include performing pre- and post-trip inspections, maintaining DOT-compliant logs, securing freight, and ensuring on-time pickups and deliveries. You'll collaborate closely with dispatch and operations teams, representing Ryder's culture of teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement while providing safe, efficient service to diverse clients.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL A tractor-trailer equipment as a regional floater driver for Ryder customers
• Cover multiple routes, shifts, and locations as needed to support transportation and logistics operations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT-compliant logs and documentation
• Ensure on-time pickup and delivery of freight while following all safety, company, and regulatory standards
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members to resolve issues and optimize routes
• Secure and handle freight properly to prevent damage and ensure load integrity
• Adhere to Ryder's policies and promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
