Experienced Sheet Metal Mechanic

Lee Company is seeking an Experienced Sheet Metal Mechanic to install, fabricate, and repair sheet metal ductwork and related HVAC components on commercial and industrial construction projects. You will read and interpret blueprints, measure and cut materials, operate hand and power tools, and ensure high-quality, code-compliant installations. The role requires strict adherence to safety procedures, jobsite cleanliness, and company standards. You'll work closely with foremen and team members, mentor apprentices, and represent Lee Company's people-first culture and commitment to customer satisfaction and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Install, fabricate, and repair sheet metal ductwork and accessories for commercial and industrial projects
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan layout and installation
• Measure, cut, bend, and assemble sheet metal using hand and power tools and shop equipment
• Install hangers, supports, dampers, and insulation as required for complete HVAC systems
• Inspect and test installations for proper airflow, fit, and code compliance
• Maintain strict adherence to Lee Company and OSHA safety standards on all jobsites
• Coordinate with foremen, project managers, and other trades to meet schedules and quality expectations
• Mentor and assist apprentices and helpers in proper installation and safety practices
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean, safe, and working condition
• Document work performed and communicate progress or issues to supervisors and customers as needed
