GE Vernova seeks a Lead CNC Programmer for 2nd Shift to support precision manufacturing of critical components for advanced energy systems. In this on-site role, you will program, set up, and optimize CNC mills and lathes using CAM software, translating complex drawings and models into efficient, high-quality machining processes. You'll lead 2nd shift operations, mentor operators and programmers, troubleshoot machining issues, and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and throughput. Collaborating with engineering and quality teams, you'll help deliver reliable components that power the global energy transition.

Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and optimize CNC machines for complex components supporting energy and power systems
  • Translate engineering drawings and 3
  • D models into efficient CNC programs using CAM software
  • Lead 2nd shift machining operations, including workflow planning and prioritization
  • Troubleshoot tooling, offsets, and dimensional issues to ensure high-quality, right-first-time parts
  • Train and mentor CNC operators and programmers on best practices and safety standards
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance to improve processes and reduce scrap
  • Maintain documentation, revisions, and machine libraries in alignment with GE Vernova standards
  • Ensure strict adherence to EHS policies, quality procedures, and regulatory requirements

  • Blueprint and GD&T interpretation
