GE Vernova seeks a Lead CNC Programmer for 2nd shift to support high-precision components used in advanced energy systems. In this onsite role, you'll program, set up, and optimize CNC machines, translating complex drawings and CAD/CAM models into robust, efficient programs. You'll lead 2nd shift operations, mentoring operators, resolving machining issues, and ensuring quality, throughput, and safety. Partner with engineering and quality teams to improve tooling, processes, and cycle times as you help deliver the technologies powering the global energy transition.

Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and optimize CNC machines for complex components supporting energy projects
  • Translate engineering drawings and CAD/CAM models into efficient CNC programs
  • Lead 2nd shift machining activities, assigning work and mentoring CNC operators
  • Perform test runs, first-article inspections, and troubleshoot machining issues
  • Maintain tight tolerances and quality standards using precision measurement tools
  • Continuously improve cycle times, tooling, and processes for safety and productivity
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues
