Retail Bike&Snow technician

Public Lands, an outdoor specialty retail brand owned by DICK'S Sporting Goods, is seeking a Retail Bike & Snow Technician in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, you'll assemble, tune, and repair bikes, skis, and snowboards while delivering exceptional customer service. You'll diagnose mechanical issues, perform safe, high-quality setups, and educate customers on gear care and performance. Working in our on-site service shop and sales floor, you'll join a collaborative, conservation-focused team that supports outdoor recreation, sustainability, and inclusive access to public lands.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, tune, and repair bikes to brand and safety standards.
• Perform ski and snowboard mounting, tuning, waxing, and safety checks.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend service solutions to customers.
• Educate customers on gear selection, maintenance, and safe use.
• Maintain a clean, organized service shop and accurate work orders.
• Support retail floor with product knowledge and customer service.
• Assist with inventory, tagging, and merchandising of bike and snow gear.
• Follow all safety, compliance, and quality control procedures.
• Collaborate with teammates to meet service and sales goals.
• Document services performed and process transactions through POS.
