Driving School Instructor

Auto Club Driving Schools Inc seeks a Driving School Instructor to teach safe, responsible driving to new drivers. In this field-based role, you'll lead classroom lessons on traffic laws, road signs, and defensive driving, and provide behind-the-wheel coaching on local streets and highways. You'll model calm, patient instruction, closely monitor safety, and prepare students for written and road tests. Instructors maintain accurate records, communicate progress to students and parents, and support a culture of professionalism, safety, and confidence-building every lesson.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom lessons on traffic laws, road signs, and safe driving practices
• Provide behind-the-wheel instruction to new drivers on local roads and highways
• Demonstrate and coach vehicle control, parking, and defensive driving techniques
• Continuously monitor student and road safety, following all regulations and school policies
• Prepare students for written and road tests through practice and feedback
• Maintain accurate student progress records, schedules, and required documentation
• Communicate with students and parents about progress, requirements, and expectations
• Inspect instructional vehicles for basic safety and cleanliness before each lesson
