HVAC/R Pipefitter Journeyman

CoolSys, a national leader in HVAC-R and energy optimization solutions, is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Pipefitter Journeyman to support commercial and industrial construction projects. In this role, you will lay out, install, and test refrigeration and HVAC piping systems, including copper and steel lines, valves, and supports. You'll interpret blueprints, perform brazing and welding, conduct pressure tests, and assist with system start-up. Working in a safety-first, team-driven environment, you'll help deliver reliable, energy-efficient mechanical systems for customers across multiple industries.

Responsibilities

• Install and fit HVAC/R piping and refrigeration lines per plans and specifications.
• Lay out, cut, thread, and assemble pipe and tubing for commercial and industrial projects.
• Perform brazing, welding, pressure testing, and leak detection to ensure system integrity.
• Collaborate with foremen, technicians, and contractors to complete projects safely and on schedule.
• Interpret blueprints, isometrics, and schematics to plan pipe routes and supports.
• Assist with system start-up, charging, and commissioning of HVAC/R equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe job site and follow all Cool
• Sys and OSHA safety procedures.
• Document work performed and communicate project status to supervisors and customers.
