Driving School Instructor

The Auto Club of Southern California is seeking a Driving School Instructor to safely train new drivers and support our member-focused mission. In this role, you'll provide behind-the-wheel and classroom instruction, teaching traffic laws, defensive driving, and safe driving habits. You'll assess student skills, document progress, and communicate with students and parents. Working on-site in company vehicles, you will model safe, courteous driving and uphold AAA standards while helping members gain confidence and independence on the road.

Responsibilities

• Provide behind-the-wheel instruction to new and inexperienced drivers following Auto Club standards and California regulations.
• Deliver engaging classroom or virtual sessions on traffic laws, defensive driving, and safe driving practices.
• Assess student skills, track progress, and provide clear feedback to students and parents or guardians.
• Maintain accurate training records, schedules, and documentation in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Model safe, courteous driving and uphold AAA's member-focused, safety-first culture.
• Communicate professionally with members, families, and colleagues to ensure a positive learning experience.
• Inspect training vehicles before and after lessons to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Follow all state and organizational safety protocols, policies, and risk management procedures.
