Preschool Substitute Teacher

LePort Montessori is seeking a Preschool Substitute Teacher to support our authentic Montessori classrooms serving preschool-age children. As an on-call team member, you'll step into classrooms to guide children through prepared Montessori activities, maintain a nurturing, respectful environment, and ensure safety and consistency in daily routines. You'll collaborate with lead teachers, follow established lesson plans, and model independence, curiosity, and kindness. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about early childhood education who want to gain Montessori experience and grow within a mission-driven school community.

Responsibilities

• Provide reliable, on-call classroom coverage for preschool classrooms following Montessori principles and routines
• Implement prepared lessons and activities that support independence, curiosity, and social-emotional growth
• Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of all children throughout the day
• Maintain a calm, respectful, and nurturing classroom environment aligned with Le
• Port's culture
• Follow classroom procedures for transitions, meals, rest time, and outdoor play
• Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to support consistent expectations and communication
• Communicate professionally with families and staff as needed about student needs and daily experiences
• Help maintain an orderly, clean, and inviting classroom and materials
