Truck Mechanic

Union Beer Distributors in Brooklyn is seeking a Truck Mechanic to keep our delivery fleet safe, reliable, and ready for daily routes across the NYC metro area. In this fast-paced, team-focused environment, you will perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on medium- and heavy-duty trucks, including engines, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems. You'll work closely with logistics and operations teams to minimize downtime and support timely deliveries, gaining hands-on experience in the dynamic craft beer and beverage distribution industry.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on delivery trucks and fleet vehicles.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, including oil changes, brake service, and safety inspections.
• Use diagnostic tools, manuals, and schematics to troubleshoot complex vehicle problems.
• Document all work performed, parts used, and recommended repairs in maintenance systems.
• Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to prioritize repairs and minimize vehicle downtime.
• Maintain a clean, safe shop environment and comply with all safety and DOT regulations.
• Order and track parts and supplies as needed for timely repairs.
• Road-test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper performance.
