Auto Mechanic

CarMax is seeking an experienced Auto Mechanic to keep our used vehicles safe, reliable, and ready for customers. In this hands-on role, you'll perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs across a wide range of makes and models in a clean, well-equipped retail service environment. You'll handle everything from routine maintenance to complex mechanical and electrical issues, using modern diagnostic tools and repair information systems. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on a wide range of used vehicles
• Perform routine maintenance including brakes, tires, fluids, and inspections
• Conduct thorough multipoint inspections to ensure vehicles meet Car
• Max quality and safety standards
• Use diagnostic tools and repair information systems to identify and resolve problems efficiently
• Document all work performed in repair orders with accuracy and detail
• Collaborate with service advisors, inspectors, and teammates to prioritize workflow and meet deadlines
• Follow company, safety, and environmental procedures to maintain a clean, compliant shop
• Support continuous improvement by sharing feedback and participating in training and development
