Lead Teacher

The Learning Experience Corp in Ladera, NM seeks a Lead Teacher to guide daily classroom operations for infants through preschool. This role plans and delivers curriculum-based lessons that support cognitive, social, and emotional development while maintaining a safe, nurturing environment. The Lead Teacher models best practices for assistants, observes and documents child progress, and communicates regularly with families. You will uphold state licensing and center policies, collaborate with a supportive team, and help create an inclusive, family-oriented culture focused on safety, structured learning, and positive behavior support.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement curriculum-based daily lessons aligned to developmental milestones
• Lead classroom routines, activities, and transitions for infants through preschoolers
• Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom that meets licensing and center standards
• Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress
• Communicate regularly with families about child progress, behavior, and classroom activities
• Model best practices and provide guidance to assistant teachers or aides
• Implement behavior management strategies that support social-emotional learning
• Collaborate with center leadership and teammates on schedules, events, and initiatives
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and emergency procedures
• Participate in training and professional development to enhance teaching skills
