Lead Teacher

The Learning Experience Corp in Paradise Hills, NM seeks a Lead Teacher to guide daily classroom learning for infants, toddlers, or preschoolers. The Lead Teacher plans and delivers curriculum-based lessons, fosters social-emotional growth, and maintains a safe, nurturing environment. Responsibilities include observing and assessing development, managing classroom routines, and modeling positive behavior. The role collaborates closely with assistant teachers and families, communicates progress, and upholds health, safety, and licensing standards. Ongoing training, curriculum support, and opportunities for professional growth in early childhood education are provided.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement curriculum-based daily lessons for assigned age group
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Observe, document, and assess children's developmental progress
• Communicate regularly with families about child progress and classroom activities
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff in the classroom
• Maintain classroom organization, routines, and positive behavior management
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and state licensing regulations
• Collaborate with center leadership and peers on program improvement
• Participate in professional development and training sessions
• Support school events, family engagement, and center initiatives
