Preschool Teacher

Chesterbrook Academy is seeking a Preschool Teacher to create a safe, engaging, and academically rich classroom for young children. In this role, you will plan and lead developmentally appropriate lessons, incorporating play-based learning to support social, emotional, and cognitive growth. You will closely observe children's progress, communicate regularly with families, and maintain accurate records. Working in a supportive, child-centered culture, you will collaborate with fellow educators, participate in ongoing professional development, and help foster an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and confident.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based lessons for preschool children
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Observe, document, and assess children's developmental progress
• Communicate regularly with families about student learning and behavior
• Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety standards
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff on curriculum and activities
• Support children's social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Participate in professional development and training sessions
• Follow school policies, procedures, and licensing regulations
• Prepare instructional materials and set up learning centers daily
