Infant Room Teacher

Chesterbrook Academy seeks an Infant Room Teacher to nurture and educate our youngest learners in a safe, developmentally appropriate environment. You will design and implement engaging, play-based activities that support cognitive, language, social-emotional, and physical development. Responsibilities include maintaining classroom safety and cleanliness, following licensing and health regulations, documenting daily care and milestones, and building strong, positive relationships with families. You will collaborate with teammates, participate in ongoing training, and contribute to a warm, inclusive, and child-centered school culture focused on continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide nurturing, responsive care for infants in a safe, clean classroom
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based activities
• Monitor and document developmental milestones and daily routines
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations
• Communicate regularly and professionally with families about children's progress
• Collaborate with teaching team and school leadership on classroom planning
• Support inclusive practices that honor each child's background and needs
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development
• Manage classroom environment, supplies, and routines effectively
• Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies or challenging behaviors
