High Voltage Utility Underground Groundman

Gregory Electric, a leading Southeast utility and electrical contractor, is seeking a High Voltage Utility Underground Groundman. In this field role you support underground power distribution crews with safe excavation, conduit and duct bank installation, pulling and setting cable, and worksite setup and cleanup. You'll handle tools and materials, spot equipment, and follow strict safety and grounding procedures. Responsibilities

• Assist crews with underground power distribution installation and maintenance
• Support safe excavation, trenching, and backfilling activities
• Install conduit, duct banks, and pull underground cable
• Set up, maintain, and clean up daily work sites
• Handle, load, and unload tools, materials, and equipment
• Act as spotter for equipment and maintain safe work zones
• Follow all high-voltage and OSHA safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Read and follow basic layout marks, instructions, and field sketches
• Assist with temporary traffic control and flagging as needed
• Participate in training and development to advance within utility construction
