O'Brien Industries Inc. seeks a Construction Manager to lead on-site installation of engineered products and fabrication projects for industrial and utility clients. In this hands-on role, you will plan and oversee construction activities, coordinate contractors and in-house crews, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and customer requirements. You'll work closely with engineering, fabrication, and customers to resolve field issues, drive continuous improvement, and deliver reliable, durable installations that support long-term relationships.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and manage industrial construction and installation projects for fabricated equipment and systems.
- Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to meet safety, quality, and schedule targets.
- Oversee site safety programs, enforce OSHA and company standards, and lead toolbox talks and inspections.
- Manage project budgets, track costs, and support change orders and documentation.
- Review drawings and specifications, resolve constructability issues, and provide feedback to engineering and fabrication teams.
- Conduct quality inspections to verify proper installation, alignment, and performance of equipment and structures.
- Serve as primary on-site contact for customers, addressing concerns and communicating progress.
- Prepare daily reports, progress updates, and closeout documentation for internal and client use.
- Support continuous improvement of field processes, installation methods, and safety practices.
- Assist with planning labor, equipment, and materials to optimize productivity on multiple concurrent projects.
