Peer Support Specialist

Zepf Center, a nonprofit behavioral health organization, is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join our Community & Social Services team. In this role, you will use your lived experience with recovery to provide hope, encouragement, and guidance to individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges. Responsibilities include facilitating peer groups, offering one-on-one support, modeling recovery-focused behaviors, linking clients to community resources, and collaborating with clinical staff to support person-centered recovery and wellness goals in a compassionate, trauma-informed environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.
• Facilitate group and individual sessions to promote recovery and wellness.
• Collaborate with professionals to develop personalized recovery plans.
• Document progress and maintain accurate records of client interactions.
• Advocate for clients to access resources and build support networks.
