Preschool Substitute Teacher

Chesterbrook Academy seeks a reliable Preschool Substitute Teacher to support classrooms serving children ages 2-5. You will implement lesson plans, maintain a safe, nurturing environment, and engage children in play-based, developmentally appropriate activities. Responsibilities include following daily schedules, supporting routines like meals and rest time, monitoring child safety, and communicating positively with staff and families. You'll collaborate with lead teachers, uphold school policies and licensing standards, and model our child-centered, inclusive culture. Training, ongoing development, and growth opportunities are provided in our supportive school community.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage for preschool teachers serving children ages 2-5
• Implement existing lesson plans and follow daily classroom schedules
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
• Supervise children during activities, meals, transitions, and rest time
• Support play-based, developmentally appropriate learning experiences
• Follow school policies, procedures, and licensing regulations
• Communicate positively with staff, children, and families
• Assist with classroom organization, cleanliness, and material setup
• Observe and report student needs or concerns to lead teachers or administrators
• Participate in training and professional development as required
