Lead Pre-K Teacher

Chesterbrook Academy is seeking a Lead Pre-K Teacher to guide a classroom of 4-5-year-olds in a nurturing, academically rich environment. The Lead Teacher will design and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons that balance structured learning with play, supporting social-emotional, language, and early literacy and math skills. Responsibilities include assessing student progress, maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom, building strong relationships with families, mentoring assistant teachers, and collaborating with colleagues. The role offers ongoing professional development and opportunities for career growth within a supportive, child-centered school community.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver developmentally appropriate Pre-K curriculum
• Plan daily lessons that balance structured learning and play
• Support social-emotional, language, literacy, and early math development
• Assess and document student progress and learning outcomes
• Maintain a safe, clean, and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with families about student growth and needs
• Mentor and guide assistant teachers and classroom aides
