Child Care Teacher

Chesterbrook Academy is seeking a Child Care Teacher for our Toddler and Pre-K classrooms. In this role, you'll create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports each child's social, emotional, and academic growth. Responsibilities include planning and implementing developmentally appropriate, play-based lessons, maintaining classroom routines, observing and documenting progress, and ensuring health and safety standards. You'll build strong relationships with families, collaborate with teammates, participate in ongoing training, and model our inclusive, child-centered culture focused on curiosity, kindness, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for toddler and Pre-K children
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Observe, document, and communicate children's progress to families
• Maintain classroom routines, schedules, and behavior expectations
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations
• Collaborate with teaching team and school leadership on classroom activities
• Engage families through regular communication and conferences
• Participate in professional development and ongoing training
• Prepare classroom materials and maintain a clean, organized learning space
