Hauser Heating & Air Conditioning seeks a Residential HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related systems in single-family homes and light commercial settings. In this field-based role, you'll troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, perform seasonal tune-ups, recommend energy-efficient solutions, and ensure safe, code-compliant operation. You'll interact directly with customers, explain findings and options, and document all work clearly. Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair residential HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps
  • Perform preventative maintenance, tune-ups, and system inspections to ensure safe, efficient operation
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and airflow issues using appropriate tools and meters
  • Explain findings, repair options, and maintenance recommendations clearly to homeowners and light commercial customers
  • Install replacement parts and adjust controls in compliance with codes and manufacturer specifications
  • Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service tickets or digital systems
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and proper handling of refrigerants and electrical components
  • Collaborate with dispatch and office staff to manage daily schedule and respond to priority calls
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in clean, organized, and ready-to-use condition
  • Participate in ongoing technical training and pursue relevant HVAC certifications
