Senior HVAC Service Tech

Andy's Statewide Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a Senior HVAC Service Tech to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential heating, cooling, and indoor air quality systems across Michigan. In this field-based role, you'll troubleshoot furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless systems, perform preventative maintenance, and recommend solutions that improve comfort and efficiency. You'll mentor junior techs, ensure all work meets code and safety standards, and provide friendly, respectful service in customers' homes. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential furnaces, air conditioners, and related HVAC equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and system tune-ups to ensure safe, efficient operation
• Install or replace components such as motors, compressors, controls, and thermostats
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical HVAC issues using appropriate tools and instruments
• Explain findings, repair options, and maintenance recommendations to homeowners clearly and professionally
• Document work performed, parts used, and system conditions in service tickets
• Ensure all work complies with local codes, manufacturer specifications, and company safety standards
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in clean, organized, and safe condition
• Mentor and support junior technicians in the field
• Collaborate with dispatch and office staff to manage daily schedule and customer expectations
