Infant Teacher

Chesterbrook Academy is seeking a caring Infant Teacher to join our early childhood team. In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing classroom that supports each baby's physical, social, and cognitive development. Responsibilities include implementing an age-appropriate, play-based curriculum, following health and safety standards, and maintaining detailed daily communication with families. You will collaborate with a supportive, child-centered staff, participate in ongoing training, and help build strong school-home partnerships that foster each child's unique potential and love of learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants ages 6 weeks to 12 months
• Implement developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum and daily lesson activities
• Monitor and support infants' physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development
• Maintain strict health, safety, and hygiene standards, including diapering and feeding routines
• Document daily activities, milestones, and routines for each child and communicate with families
• Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Collaborate with teaching team and administration to support classroom management and school goals
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development
• Maintain accurate attendance, incident, and developmental records as required
• Follow school policies, licensing regulations, and child protection guidelines
