Residential HVAC Service Tech

Andy's Statewide Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a Residential HVAC Service Tech to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential heating, cooling, and indoor air quality systems across Michigan. In this field-based role, you'll troubleshoot furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related components, perform routine maintenance, and recommend solutions that improve comfort and efficiency. You'll interact directly with homeowners, explain findings clearly, collect payments or approvals, and complete accurate documentation. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps
• Perform preventive maintenance, safety checks, and system tune-ups
• Install or replace components such as motors, capacitors, filters, and thermostats
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using appropriate tools and meters
• Explain findings, options, and maintenance recommendations to homeowners
• Document work performed, parts used, and system conditions accurately
• Follow company and OSHA safety procedures and use proper PPE in the field
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in clean, working order
• Collaborate with dispatch and office staff to manage daily schedule and customer communication
