Responsibilities

• Operate CDL-A tractor safely in compliance with DOT and company standards
• Pick up, transport, and deliver LTL and truckload freight on time
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and basic equipment checks
• Maintain accurate ELD logs and required transportation documentation
• Coordinate with dispatch for loads, routes, and schedules
• Secure freight properly and follow cargo handling procedures
• Adhere to safety policies and report incidents or equipment issues promptly
• Provide professional customer service at shipper and consignee locations
• Manage owner-operator business expenses such as fuel and maintenance
• Support Forward Air's performance-driven, safety-focused culture
